This carbide has high hardness and good wear resistance, and can effectively resist the wear and impact of materials. For example, in some mining crushing equipment, high chromium cast iron with a chromium content of 15% - 20% is used to make the crushing wall, and its service life is about 30% - 50% longer than that of ordinary high manganese steel crushing wall.
Composite wear-resistant materials: Composite technology is used to combine wear-resistant alloys with base materials with good toughness. For example, the high manganese steel-based composite material is reinforced with cemented carbide particles. The cemented carbide particles can provide excellent wear resistance, while the high manganese steel matrix ensures the toughness of the material, making the crushing bowl liner less likely to break when subjected to a large impact, thereby extending its service life.
Improved casting process
Precision casting technology: The use of precision casting processes, such as investment casting, can produce crushing walls with high dimensional accuracy and good surface quality. Precision casting can better control casting defects, reduce problems such as pores and shrinkage, and improve the quality of the crushing bowl liner. For example, the surface roughness of the crushing bowl liner produced by investment casting can be reduced to Ra1.6 - Ra3.2μm, and the internal defects are reduced, so that the stress concentration phenomenon of the crushing bowl liner during use is alleviated, thereby extending the service life.
Optimization of heat treatment process: Reasonable heat treatment of the crushing bowl liner, such as quenching and tempering. Quenching can increase the hardness of the material, and tempering can eliminate the internal stress generated by quenching and enhance the toughness of the material. For example, after water-toughening treatment of the high manganese steel crushing bowl liner and then low-temperature tempering, its hardness can be increased by about 10% - 15% and its toughness by about 20% - 30%, effectively increasing the service life of the crushing bowl liner under complex working conditions.
